So I guess this sewing thing started because I made the comment to my Grammy that I wanted to learn how to sew. Well, lucky for me she found me a sewing machine at her friends' yard sale.
It is an antique sewing machine...that is super out of whack, that only does 4 stitches, that is super heavy, but looks great in an antique sewing table. (Thank you Barb for the beautiful table. ) I did manage to piece a quilt top on it and really had a great time even though my seams didn't match and I literally had no clue what I was doing. Anyhow, I have upgraded twice since then and now I have Scarlett. She's a beaut. She is a Viking Tribute and has lots of pretty red on her face. I love her! :)
I have been busy doing lots of sewing for other people, as well as myself and wanted to be able to show off some of the things I've been working on. So today I will show you the quilt I am working on and give you a glimpse of Scarlett. She's been working hard all day (except when I insisted that she, Little Dog, and I all take naps) and is almost done with "The Neon Hippie." "The Neon Hippie" is already sold to a lady with a teenage daughter who loves peace signs and neon colors. I think this quilt will fit the bill. Stay turned for more pictures of this quilt and many others. :)
